START UP OF OUR LASER MACHINE

Click on the image to watch the video

What to do before starting your laser machine:

  • Check that all laser machine connections (power supply, PC, extraction system) are properly connected.
  • Perform a visual inspection of the condition of the laser machine, make sure all mechanisms move freely, and check that there are no materials under the table that could obstruct the air vents.
  • Make sure the work area and lenses are clean and proceed with cleaning if necessary.
  • Check the exhaust system and activate the cooling system if necessary.
  • Check the condition of the filters and the activated carbon of the extraction system.
  • Close the protective cap.

If you have a water-cooled laser, start the cooling system before turning on the laser machine.

What to do before turning on the laser machine?

  • Turn on the main power supply of the laser machine by pressing the main switch.
  • Turn on the key switch on the control panel (machine specific).
  • If all the covers are closed the system will start homing right after start up.
  • When the laser machine is turned on the processing table will be fully down and the processing head will move to the zero point (point in the upper left corner).
  • As soon as the referencing process has been successfully completed with an acoustic sound and the slow, steady flashing of the LED lights the machine is ready for operation.

What to do before turning on the exhaust system?

The extraction system is activated simultaneously at the start of the laser process and stops when the job is finished. If a different extraction system is used, turn it on and off manually before processing.

To ensure proper performance of the extraction system we recommend that you adjust the uptime and tracking of the system depending on the material.

What to do before turning off the laser machine?

  • Turn the keyswitch on the control panel (if equipped) on the left
  • Disconnect the main power supply to the machine by pressing the main switch.

Saving time in production area

In this video tutorial we will explain how we can save time with small tips that can make our company grow in less than imagined, we can save up to 200% of time with this technique and what previously took us 6 hours, now we can reduce it to 2 hours. We will delve into some failures that we have in production when making engravings or cuts, how we can reduce the control of colors the deliberate loss of space, we will explain a basic parameter measurements and finally we will explain how the movement of the laser head is.

Basic parameters in LASER WORK V6 software

We bring you another video tutorial related to the configuration of our laser work V6 software, depending on the physical structure of the machines, depending on the work area, we have on our machines and many more techniques that as time passes we can improve with much more specific tutorials.

These are some basic parameters about the LASER WORK V6 Software

Computer-controlled machine and tool-based laser engraving enables the user to achieve effective control of a wide variety of processing tasks. RDWork v8 / LaserWorks v8 is a cutting edge example of a computer controlled engraving system. The RDWork v8 / LaserWorks v8 system components include a controller card, a control panel, and support software. The accompanying manual describes how to fully use the software. In addition to the video tutorial.

Supported formats

The RDWork v8 / LaserWorks v8 system supports the following formats:
Vector format: DXF, AI, PLOT, DST, DSB, and related formats.
Bitmap format: BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG, MNG, and related formats.

Basic requirements

RDWork v8 / LaserWorks v8 application is required to run on Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 / 8.1 and Windows 10.

It is recommended that your PC be equipped with a minimum dual-core processor and with at least 2GB of RAM installed.

GLASS TUBE CO2

A laser tube is a closed container, in which Co2 and a set of gases (Nitrogen, Hydrogen or Helium) are stored, the gas inside the tube is excited when it comes into contact with electricity produced by a radio frequency unit (source), This reaction generates a beam of light known as a laser beam, on the market, we can find generic and brand tubes that differ with components, value and quality.

The most recognized brands in the market are: RECI, EFR, TONGLI, which have their own voltage arc sources for the laser tubes, which will offer us a better performance.

RECI: It only works tubes of 10,000 hours and its cost is the highest of all, but it contains a very fine and clean beam.

EFR: In this brand we can find several references CL (3,000h), ZX (10,000h), ZN (10,000H)

  • La The CL references in comparison, is the most stable in the beam quality, but as a disadvantage it has very few working hours.
  • Reference F is stable, but has a wider ray without catalyst.
  • The reference ZX offers a catalyst attached to the glass tube, which generates a better vacuum in the path space of the tube.
  • The ZN reference is very similar to the ZX, only it includes high quality mirrors that allow a beam of up to 40% more than the other tubes in the industry.

TONGLI: We found several references: N, M, G and B these offers a variety of power and useful life of 9,000 hours or one year stored.

Laser tubes are made up of 3 layers in their physical structure:

  • External cover: This cover retains CO2 in a gaseous state.
  • Middle cover: It is in charge of giving the water in and out to cool the laser tube.
  • Central body: In this the laser beam is generated and transmitted.
